Update: Five dead, including shooter, at medical building near Saint Francis Hospital

Tulsa World

Tulsa police described a “catastrophic scene” inside a medical office building in south Tulsa where five people were killed and multiple more were injured during a mass shooting on Wednesday night.

The shooter, who took his own life, was armed with a rifle and a handgun as he entered Saint Francis Health System’s Natalie Building, 6475 S. Yale Ave., and began shooting both guns just before 5 p.m., Tulsa Police Deputy Chief Eric Dalgleish said.

...snip...

The shooter's identity had not been released by Wednesday night, but information from the Muskogee Police Department indicates that he might be from that city and might have left a bomb in his house before coming to Tulsa.

Japan has almost completely eliminated gun deaths — here's how

Japan is a country of more than 127 million people, but it rarely sees more than 10* gun deaths a year.

Culture is one reason for the low rate, but gun control is a major one, too.

Japan has a long list of tests that applicants must pass before gaining access to a small pool of guns.

Central OH had almost that many over the past weekend.
