If he could do that, the price of the guns would go sky-high, putting purchase out of reach of most people. Trying to think outside the tesseract here. If we can't get a ban, are there ways to use the market to make it difficult to buy them?

It seems unlikely. I would like to see gun factories converted to producing more stingers for Ukraine. That'd be a nice two-birds move, but that's probably unlikely too.

Unless you can show they are using scarce resources that need to be diverted to other uses that promote nation security. It would seem to me that making guns is related to national security considering they also make guns for the military and law enforcement.
