(6,537 posts)will think about this. Just to keep everything in perspective. So, was there a subpoena involved? Donald, are you worried about this?

(16,426 posts)That and the fact that staying would have meant crossing a line that even Barr wasn't willing to cross (helping to facilitate the coup or even just turning a blind eye to it). Sometimes even villains have limits beyond which they aren't willing to go, especially if they see little likelihood of a benefit.

(4,426 posts)The only real difference is that Barr is smarter. He will deliver nothing useful.

(14,174 posts)And will seethe until they get back at whomever did that.
I'm sure Barr was not amused at his treatment and verbal attacks by Trump after he refused to carry out his wishes after Nov. 2020. After all he did for him in covering up his extortion of Zelensky.

(16,426 posts)I think Barr will do whatever he thinks will be of most benefit to himself. If he thinks throwing Trump under the bus is what will benefit himself the most, that's what he'll do. In a 🧡beat!

(336 posts)Aren't they working together to make sure everything is done correctly the first time? I sure could be wrong. The government confuses me on a daily basis - I think because I still hope everyone will tell the truth - HA, as if!!!

(111,277 posts)Yes, he was in the thick of it and was coordinating a lot of things, but this was a very broad based group of utter fascists within the GOP who were determined to overthrow our government in favor of a series of strongmen.,
People are on record saying it was a kind of holy war within that party, the rhetoric had been in just those terms. well, it was, and we can't let the fundagelical preachers off the hook so easily, TFG was their creation as much as anyone else's and even now, that's where most of his support is coming from.
For now, I'm afraid Meadows is about all we're going to get and maybe a little mud will finall splash on a few Congressmen. The truly guilty will walk, at least for a while, and some of them will be judged by history.
History is not often kind to people like these.
