DIDDLY SQUAT!

That, in my humble opinion, is what will be accomplished regarding the current "bipartisan" effort to pass "something" that could be called a "gun law"

I am sorry, but Democrats participating in this Kabuki theater "search for common ground" are not just wasting time, they are crediting the party STILL owned by the NRA with good faith when everyone knows they are simply hiding behind the pretense of "bipartisan discussions" until the midterms are in the rear view mirror.

We need EVERYTHING President Biden just detailed in his address, but getting 10 Senate Republicans to vote for legislation that would damage their NRA "report card" is just simply not going to happen.

If we want better gun laws, we need to elect more Democrats. Expecting anything else to work is unjustified nonsense.

More Republicans = more slaughtered school children and other innocents.

You can put laws on the books for liability of gun manufactures, waiting periods, raising age limits, banning assault weapons, background checks etc. None of it will matter much if those who have the responsibility for enforcing those laws can just ignore the law with little or no consequence. Stiff criminal charges against retailers, collectors, owners etc. must be a major part of gun regulation laws. How about mandatory minimums for those guilty of violating the law? No consequences means nothing will change.
