Damn the Sacklers to hell. I have had similar experiences. They are allowed to give pills for seven days and then if you are still in pain after 30 days...you are cut off and sent to pain management clinic. It's a nightmare.

He murdered 4 people in cold blood.

Note -2018 I went through a Linz Franc injury - two surgeries. I took 4 pain pills between the two. The rest I managed with 800 mgs of aspirin and 500 mgs of alleve.

I learned this from my husband who went through 8 surgeries after a devastating car accident destroy his left should, hand, wrist, scapula in 2011 (through 2014).

I understand pain. Truly - I still have pain in my left foot, and he still has excruciating pain in his left hand and scapula.

It's not an excuse to kill someone.

The type of pain that makes you angry and full of despair 24/7.

Just trying to understand what would motivate someone to kill other people. IMO, he apparently had a moment of raging, temporary, insanity caused by pain and easy access to a military style assault weapon. Deadly combination.

If had not had access to the weapon -

He might have committed suicide with rope or something. He wouldn't have hurt other people.

I'm one of those nutty people that are against the death penalty.

4 people were indicted, tried, and executed by one man - who had access to a gun.

You know, if he had just killed himself, he might even have drawn attention to the issue of undertreated pain. Instead, he decided to go out like an asshole, taking people with him.
