BREAKING: Militia member believed to have shot and killed a former judge in Juneau County; sources say suspect hit list included Governor Evers

MAUSTON- An apparent politically motivated hit carried out at the home of a former Judge in Juneau County.

Dozens of law enforcement vehicles descended on the home of former Juneau County Judge John Roemer this morning after a shooting was reported.

A source close to the investigation tells WTMJ’s John Mercure the 56-year-old suspect was part of a militia and he had with him a hit list that included the names of several elected officials including Governor Tony Evers.

When asked if they were notified of the apparent threat, the Governor’s Office said they do not comment on specific threats or the governor’s security detail.

A lot of these big mouth militia types may have been in the military but never shot a person, and from what I've had Vietnam vets tell me, shooting a man is totally different from than shooting varmints or game.
It's not something a lot of people could do alone and in cold blood, no matter how much of a conspiracy theory but job they are. Historically, most people need to be facing a threat (kill or be killed) or have someone there providing them with a legitimate justification before they can take that first shot against another human. IMO, that's part of the reason so many murders end up being murder-suicides.

yahoos, they are afraid if they change their mind the single issue voters would vote them out. So many of us have a whole list of things that make us like a candidate and if they not 100% from our list, we vote for them anyway. But the single issue gun or single issue anti-abortion, that's where your rabid primary voters come in. And the militias, well, you probably can't get more gun culture than that and if you sign onto a gun safety bill, you're gone. And so many politicians, especially RW jobs, they would sell their soul to keep their jobs. They money might not be great but the power, it's like a drug.

Crazy MAGAts before they were so named.

When I moved three years ago there were still Hillary for prison signs and one dive bar still sold t-shirts with the same.

In Marquette Cty people were afraid to put up Hillary campaign signs or bumper stickers.

Republicans gave away gigantic roadside signs and the DPW made everyone buy small wired signs. I paid $7 each one year. It was so frustrating. We were always out signed.
Which I guess didn’t mean anything to the PTB. But so many locals subscribe to more signs, bigger penis. Errr bigger win.

I made many of my own. I also bought generic Democratic flags and signs. But some years couldn’t even buy local candidates signage.

I even saved previous year signs used them. Especially my 5’x4’ Obama/Biden signs. I paid $50 for that one.

One year I made a “Honk if you slept with Tommy Thompson” sign. Once in awhile I’d hear a honk.

We understood totally why Hillary lost in WI.
