Thanks, but I'll hold out for a pundit-free steam. My tolerance for idiots and commercials has basically bottomed out at zero.

Not 100% sure this will work, but I have hopes:

Usually the flap jaw occurs on breaks determined by the proceedings, coupled with ads. I may not have CSPAN on my streaming service. Sounds like a peaceful option.

The NBC affiliate still has Law & Order, but obviously that could change. Thanks for the info!

They don't need to leave it open. These hearings/witnesses are set and done. Nothing new will come out of this. It's to let the public know what they know.

you know.......Americans. We can only get about 60% of our citizens to vote (2020 was a record turnout in the modern area at 66%), and how many of those 60% are going to sacrifice their prime-time viewing hours for something they don't really care about anyway?

It's a sad state of affairs when your country's people don't care about an attempted coup of their government.

Political junkies like us will eat it up, but unfortunately we're in the minority.

But I never underestimate the ability of the American people to ignore important events happening right before their eyes.

After 73 years I've become quite cynical about the American people. After all, they somehow managed to elect Donald Trump as president.

The first and last hearings are specifically set to be held live in prime time to maximize attention, which is brilliant. Now, if only Merrick Garland would show that he cares about Jan. 6 as much as the select committee does.

I’ve gotten up at 6 am to watch many an East Coast event. Biden’s speech the other night was at 5pm here. People weren’t home from work!
