Dan Quayle.
Do you suppose any enterprising reporter has asked him for an interview regarding his conversations with Mike Pence on Jan 5-ish?
Has he been asked by any investigative body to tell what he knows, or what Pence said to him?
Pretty important potential witness there!

(9,959 posts)... why Pence had to get Quayle's advice? Can Pence really be that dense? Anyone who has to call Quayle to determine whether or not to violate the Constitution should never have been Vice President!

(16,846 posts)Im guessing that they knew each other, or at least they were acquainted. I think Quayle is kind of a holy-roller like Pence is. That seems to be the likely connection there and why Pence was discussing it with him.

(9,186 posts)Theyre both from Indiana, so I assume they know each other, theyre both Republican, they both served as Vice-President, and Quayle had presided over the counting of electoral votes for an election he had lost.
I suppose he could have called Gore, but they dont have as much in common, and he absolutely knew what Gore would tell him and others.

(31,112 posts)If Democrats had done all this, every single republican in the United states would have the top of their heads explode all over their kitchen ceilings, and if every Democrat in question wasn't in jail by now there would be coast to coast war.
The WORST accusation against ANY Democrat of note was lying about a blowjob. Imagine if Democrats did this.

(13,571 posts)He told Mike that the VP had no power to do what Trump wanted him to do.
I think they spoke more than once.
Why is no one getting Quayle's testimony regarding this important event?

(5,843 posts)They don't publicize every interviewee's name.

(111,103 posts)They could have him on TV as a live witness during the hearings.
(Also, Republicans would not dare to call Quayle dishonest or unfair)

(10,053 posts)credentialed than Dan Quayle is. They both told him basically the same thing but I would rather hear from the Judge.

(111,103 posts)Highly respected in conservative circles. The people need to understand the story about what happened to cause the January 6th insurrection?

(111,103 posts)...for these hearings?
I hope they connect with the people. I hope they can convince them that this is about their country and their democracy, not a political exercise.
