and Independence Hall is at 6th and Chestnut so we're talking well over a mile or more.

especially at night. Sort of touristy, not dangerous.

Oh shit, I just read the article and my house was a block away from where someone was shot...

11. I just saw another report that mentioned another location nearby

with the primary shooting between 2nd & 4th on South St. and then a separate incident area at 4th & Bainbridge.

I *know* it had to be packed down there. Somewhat warmish late spring night without blasting heat/humidity, weekend, colleges out, high schools soon to be out.

I know I used to hang out down there on weekends during high school and college and on occasion, on and off after that.

And yeah, the cop presence has ALWAYS been there for many decades. ALWAYS.
