'Give me all your money': 12-year-old accused of robbing gas station with gun from father's safe.

HARTFORD, Mich. — Police in Hartford arrested a 12-year-old after they say he brazenly robbed a gas station Wednesday afternoon.

Lt. Mike Prince tells FOX 17 the robbery happened at the Marathon station on East Main Street and Haver Street.

According to police, the 12-year-old walked into the station before 4 p.m., put a bag on the counter, and told the clerk, “Give me all your money.”

The clerk responded, “Are you serious?”

“Yes, I [explicative] am,” the teen allegedly replied while pulling out a gun and pointing it at the clerk's face.

......

Police say the boy got the gun out of his father’s locked gun safe. Officers believe the boy figured out the pass code and opened the safe.

Last I checked, a "12-year old" is NOT a "teen".

This is what happens when you have no editors reviewing copy.

I’m referring to the lack of emotion in kids. After a test, a kid walked up and broke all the pencils and walked out. Minor story among many major one, but it was the coldness and complete lack of concern about consequences. If reported to the administrator, the student would be given candy and the teacher would have to participate in a circle and forgive the student. No report, no candy today.

As reported by two family members, one provides inpatient psychiatric services, another one is a child advocate attorney.

As young as 7 and 8 yrs of age, violent and aggressive to the point they must be jailed or removed from the home if the medications and therapy don't work.

Setting the stage to try him as an adult when it's his father's fault for having such an easy passcode a preteen could figure it out.
