(1,250 posts)I got over my disappointment in Obama in 2011 especially after Osama Bin Laden was killed.
As 2012 began I had to check myself because I knew what kind of background Obama was coming from & I knew what kind of President he would ultimately be.
I began to understand a little of his 3-dimensional chess as I saw the Tea Party faction implode & the entire Republican Party look ready to fracture.
I hated his unnecessary compromises & tradeoffs because I knew we had one shot of getting these things done.
But Obama knows it will take 2 terms to finish the Change & I had to learn that.
In the 2nd term, strong Progressive Obama will emerge especially if he gets the right Congress behind him.
He is playing the long game. And playing it BEYOND his term.
He's setting the stage for a Progressive path over decades.
He's reversing the Reagan Revolution with an Obama Revolution & to undo those Reagan Democrats he has to make Obama Republicans.
It's working & I see it much more clearly now.
I'm ashamed that I turned my back on the 2010 election.
I never missed an election before this & I will never miss an election again after this.
I apologize to all Democrats/Liberals/Progressives here for that mistake.
I will never make it again.
This is the right man for the job & I know his 2nd term will way outshine his 1st.
