(14,576 posts)very sadly, something our party does not do well enough. At all.
I just published a comment in the NYT that essentially made the point that the last Democrats who had really good messaging that worked to win elections were FDR, JFK and RFK (until he was killed, but he would have won in '68).
We need to improve message discipline in this party ASAP.
There are several things we need to POUND on, and by that, I mean turn the question to these issues every time no matter what the question the media head is asking:
1. Gun violence - the message would be universal background checks, and assault weapons ban.
2. How many people the reversal of Roe v Wade will hurt, and why Republicans don't care about fetuses once they are born.
3. Healthcare - we squander trillions on wars, where is our healthcare? Our dental care?
4. Keeping prices down - we could be SO MUCH more effective countering the 'high prices at the pump are Biden's fault' meme.
Focus on these things, and maybe we can win some seats.
Be careful, be cautious and LOSE THE REPUBLIC.

(549 posts)Something they never discuss in their images of Biden having a toggle switch on his desk that he just won't flip.
The Republicans have no answers to inflation. None. Biden - in pinpointing the supply chain issues - does, even if it's not a complete one.
