...shooting seems to be focusing on the victims. I don't know the murderers name and I don't want to know it.
I hear about the children, their families, the teachers, all at the edge of weeping, but nothing about the creature who caused this pain.
Our media is crude entertainment; the days of "news" have long since passed, but perhaps, just perhaps, it will find, at long last, some shred of decency that is finally, perhaps, emerging from that nightmare that we once called a "press."
I don't know this is true, but it's what I've observed in the little bit I have seen.

(9,998 posts)Whenever I hear it brought up on TV, that's what everybody says. They have to follow orders. Think Jack Nicholson in "A Few Good Men."

(53,854 posts)has been in place for a few years now. It's a good thing as copycats won't get the idea that they will get nationwide notoriety if they also committed a mass killing.
