Re: today's hearings....

.... I worry that with the formatting, this serious matter will be viewed as more of an entertainment event ...
... no, not by us DUers and such; but by the very people who most need to understand the exact horrors of 1/6 ....
... 'they' seem to have so much difficulty understanding the difference between fantasy and reality ...
... please, tell me I'm wrong; but I worry it's all being a bit trivialized by the way it's being done....

... of course, I also hold hope that Rep Thompson will have been wiser than I in his choice ....
............ trying to breath slowly here ....

But I do worry they are trying to make this a huge must watch. I just hope they literally have the receipts.

As an indirect comparison, how many do you think would watch grisly crime cases as depicted on Dateline, if the stories did not weave narrative with interviews and chronological events into a compelling segment of storytelling? It has now been on 30 years, so this kind of approach does work.

We shall see if this translates to devastating political events and constitutional crises.

Especially if it is done well and word gets around. It’s not just a one night event. My worry is that the Department of Justice won’t do anything about any clear evidence once it’s revealed. But I guess we’ll find out, won’t we?

It’s about the content, let’s wait and see. Let the traitors be worried.

Then presenting it with shock value has merit. You're making your own argument here. If the only way to reach these people is with flash, then go for it, right? However, I don't think it will be slick entertainment. The video we've all seen already is dramatic enough. Remember the second impeachment trial? The videos they showed were impactful.

Just wait and see. I have a feeling that after tonight, people won't be able to stop talking about how well done it is. These people know what they're doing.
