The media questions whether or not the Committee can get people to watch or listen to hearings?

Democrats fail to get the facts out so that people can understand them.

How many stories have we heard from the media that the people that need to hear what happened on January 6th will not even watch because somehow the Democrats are incompetent?

But, is that really the responsibility of the Democrats or the Committee?

What is the job of the press? Isn't their job to inform and to educate?

It seems to me the media is trying to blame the Democrats for their own shortcomings.

And not be constantly telling us what they think is gonna happen. That’s really not their job. It’s also magical thinking

...and the failed coup attempt. (Although it may be premature to call it a "failed coup" since they are still in the process of destroying our democracy)

We want news, not rampant/endless speculation. But I guess they have to talk about something with 24-hour coverage?

Sitting at DTW, going on vacation for a week with my wife. I catch up on the highlights a little bit on here and elsewhere online and watch the replays when I get back home. My guess is more will watch it after the fact via youtube or something instead of watching it live.

They're all severely opinionated and highly invested in creating scandals where none exist. Don't fall for their melodramatic made-up scandals.

See if your system carries Newsy. They report actual news, no opinion. Facts. And stories you won't see on the melodramatic opinionated bullshit on cable "news." They often have news blurbs on good news stories we see way too little of these days, and interesting things you just don't see on the opinionated channels.

If your system does not carry Newsy and you have a Fire TV, there's an app, so you can watch it on your TV. There's also a phone app and you can watch it that way. Or online at the above link.

I am always recommending them because it is so damned refreshing to watch real NEWS and not opinion. There's no screaming, no opinions, no spittle flying, and there isn't a constant BREAKING NEWS crawl on the bottom of the screen 24/7.

Wallace, Reid, Melber, Hayes, Lemon, McDonnell are quite good.

Melber recently got Navarro to come on his show for the third time and re-state, stupidly, his own participation in a J6 attempted coup he called the Greenbay Sweep. Navarro actual admitted that on national TV.

I'm not talking the morning host like Mitchell and Todd. You're missing some good work.

I don't like any of these hosts and I think all of them are self-important blowhards more interested in fueling fires than reporting actual news. Every single thing every one of them presents is pure opinion, unless there's a tragedy and it's real, actual breaking news.

I know I can watch any one of these for opinionated news if I want it, but I am sick to death of opinions. I often watch BBC News to escape the sensationalism, although Newsy is so far the best unbiased real news channel I've found.

If you enjoy sensationalized opinions with a constant 24/7 BREAKING NEWS banner, go for it. I don't.

Watergate, Iran-Contra, Lewinsky, etc were pretty big media stories.

If the attempted coup of the US government by the former president doesn't get coverage, it will not be because of the Democrats shortcomings. It will be because six large entities control 90+% of the US media and it is not in the interest of the tax breaks those companies get to let the Democrats get control of the government. The media will deflate the story by giving it less coverage than they otherwise would have and they'll dilute it by giving the liars equal time to lie about it largely unchallenged in a number of cases by the media.

This has been going on for some time. Donald Trump should never have remained president as long as he did. But the GOP & media enabled and are still enabling him. They will probably throw Trump under the bus once his usefulness as a public piñata is used up - letting it run on for now so that his replacement doesn't get much scrutiny.
