http://www.fantasyjr.com/2012-election-pumpkin-carving-president-obama-and-governor-romney/president-pumpkin-templates/They have some of the Obama face ones too but I am not such a talented carver so going with the logo! Apologies for the images of RobMe on the same site but this is the easiest pattern I found.
Anybody else giving Obama a pumpkin shout-out tonight??

(978 posts)I'm very tempted to do this. We haven't got our pumpkin yet because of all the storm stuff.
But knowing my neighborhood, it would be smashed in a matter of hours. But I've had regular one smashed before.

It's a great way to start out a GOTV conversation with neighbors....there is nothing wrong with it at all IMO. I also do one that says V O T E !!
I have to admit though Obama is not not a "controversial" choice in my neighborhood, which is a good thing cuz I am not taking down my No On 32 or Obama signs for Halloween!

(34,179 posts)I don't want to have GOTV conversations with neighbors or total strangers at my front door. If I were a kid and saw an Obama or Romney pumpkin at your door, I would skip the house as being entirely too lame, creepy, preachy.
Sorry, but it is the end of a long, excruciating election season, and the fact of the matter is that the vast majority of people are sick of it and want a break. In fact I think this little girl speaks for most of us, kids and adults, we're tired of Bronco Bamma and Mitt Romney and just want it all to end.
Lighten up, it's Halloween. Have some fun, and don't politicize the holiday.
