Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (@AOC)
Hey quick question Boebert, did you ask for a pardon after tweeting the Speakers location on Jan 6th? You and the KKK Caucus have been really quiet about it today and given how much yall have to say Im not sure why no ones responding to this simple question.
Maybe your friend @RepMTG can answer! Did either of you seek a pardon? Just trying to clear some things up.

(81,421 posts)because of the George Orwell book! Turned out to be nothing much. Except Reagan got re-elected. That was kind of a bummer. What else was it about 1984 that was so dreadful? We hosted the Summer Olympics in L.A. that year. I covered some of it because I was still working back then. *
Her birth date is December 19, 1986.
(*Edited -I was doing the math in the wrong direction!)
My 2nd year of college after my Navy stint. Met my soon to be better half. It was a blast start to finish. You mean bang, bang barbie wasn't even alive yet? No wonder it was a hell of a good year.

She never read 1984 and doesn't know what dystopia even means.

(18,964 posts)I think it's a lame attempt at projection....somehow trying to like AOC and Dems to a dystopian future for the nation....
...and yes, I DO SUSPECT a great deal of wine was involved in making the tweet..

(47,270 posts)Actually it is a pretty good tweet, I have to admit.
Literate, witty, with reference to iconic work of modern literature.
Yes of course it is pure projection. The GOP is going to deliver to the US a most dismal dystopian future.

(23,334 posts)I was going going to say that Boebert wasnt even born in 1984 and I doubt she ever even read the book.

(50,562 posts)She was two years from being born in 1984.
1984 was a decent year for me...I rode a motorcycle from Tennessee to Idaho and spent the last six months of it in Korea.

(14,176 posts)that when people were "whining" about quitting if whatshisname did certain things so he just ignored it, ,he was focused on pardons. Unless I misheard him.

Now I have to go find a citation, stand by.

(148 posts)1. She probably never heard of "1984", much less read it.
2. The big words describing it are way beyond her skills.

(65,136 posts)Totally agree that there is zero chance she wrote that.
Bang Bang not only wouldn't know what dystopian means, she wouldn't be able to spell it correctly.

(32,710 posts)I'll guarantee you Boebert didn't write this nasty "burn" reply to AOC. Someone else wrote it for her, and it's somebody much smarter. Boebert flunked her GED 3 times (so I've heard) and I doubt she can even spell "dystopian," let alone tell you what the word means.

(11,443 posts)Need to find video of Boebert walking so we can compare. She'd be dumb enough to be talked in to doing something as stupid. Now I wonder if the ones seeking pardons had anything to do with the pipe bombs. That investigation seems to have gone dark.
