Too many baseball analogies, I'm sure. But DFA essentially means (for the uninformed) that they are off the team, with a week or so where the are exposed to be claimed by another team, after which they can either be sent down like the OP suggested, or outright released.

Your viewers are trying to tell you something . . . . Dump Andrea Mitchell. Her voice is like nails on a chalkboard. She fumbles around, loses her train of thought and then tries to throw in something to recover. Pathetic. She hasn't had a relevant thought in years. There is so much intelligent, educated, bright talent waiting in the wings. Put this harridan shrew out to pasture.
