Ron DeSantis seems to have Elon Musk’s vote if the Florida governor decides to run for president in 2024.

The Tesla CEO, via Twitter, indicated his support for DeSantis' expected run for the Oval Office. DeSantis has not yet formally declared his intention to run, but is widely expected to do so—and is likely to be one of the Republican front-runners.

Musk’s support came via an exchange with another Twitter user, where he noted that he voted Republican for the first time in Tuesday’s special election for Texas’ 34th congressional district (which saw a long-time Democratic seat flipped to the GOP).

While he said it was “tbd” if he would vote Republican in the presidential election, he said he was leaning towards DeSantis in a follow-up question. (In 2020, he said, he voted for Andrew Yang.)
