Some Post-Sandy Progress in NYC

There are now some lights on in lower Manhattan, the Freedom Tower and some other buildings. Bus service is back but the routes to Manhattan are packed due to no subways; however, some subway service returns Thursday. Nov. 1.

emailed that the sense of adventure has worn off and she is cold and uncomfortable.
The worst part for us is being out of touch. She has to walk north quite a ways to be able to text us.
