Read '1776 Returns,' a 9-page extremist plot to take over the Supreme Court, CNN and 6 other DC buil

buildings

A Proud Boys defense lawyer has released the full text of "1776 Returns," a 9-page extremist proto-plot for the January 6 riot — in which the Supreme Court, CNN and congressional offices were originally targeted for occupation instead of the Capitol itself.

Read the full "1776 Returns" plot here.

It's unclear who wrote the chaotic, pro-right fever dream, in which the stated goal was to "fill the buildings with patriots and communicate our demands," including that a do-over presidential election be conducted using "Paper Ballots only."

But federal prosecutors have alleged that then-Proud Boys leader Enrique Tarrio had it in his possession in late December of 2021.

"In "Storm the Winter Palace," a section marked for internal use and a "Patriot Plan" for outside distribution"

So there it is. Storm the Winter Palace refers to the insurrection-coup that climaxed the seizure of power during the Russian Revolution. So if there was any doubt they were there to overthrow the government, it just went out the window.

The above is my comment reformulated from another post on the same article.

Big plan they had. It would have taken a lot of people willing to break the law. It would also have required this rabid self-righteously deluded mob to follow directions.

Okay I looked up the ink fire alarm thing - I’m finding lots of Yes and No’s.

The tour was several hours and toured each of the three congressional office buildings
