https://share.newsbreak.com/1aedyqvg"In the past I voted Democrat, because they were (mostly) the kindness party, he said in a tweet. But they have become the party of division & hate, so I can no longer support them and will vote Republican.
Perhaps this isn't news, but this little article rounds up several gems of his political wisdom. Like, supporting DeSantis for prez.

He also said that Musk was asked to leave the cave, saying that he shouldnt have been there.
Musk fired back on Twitter over the weekend, taking his reply a step too far in calling Unsworth a pedophile, causing many on the social media platform to ask Musk to delete the tweet, which he later did.

(7,627 posts)Tesla when he was touting EV vehicles at GM and Ford. This probably has to do with his anti-union stance at Tesla. He also does not like that Democratic Senators Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren are proposing to raise taxes on billionaires.
It's is ironic since in Texas he is not allowed to sell cars directly from automakers. And there is nothing friendly towards the EV industry in the Oil and Gas Capital of America.
IMO, just another greedy billionaire.

It's always weird to me that people still haven't realized that.
Right now, the Left doesn't like him much. His response? Troll the ever-loving shit out of us.
And given how much attention his every utterance receives as the expected waves of outrage break over Twitter . . .
He's pretty good at it.

(5,969 posts)because he didn't get enough attention for what he considers his accomplishments from people in power.
We'll see in the future whether he backs up what he says by voting and campaigning for repubs. If he changes his stance to "Just kidding, of course I'll vote for the Democrat", then sure, it was trolling.

He said he voted for Flores (QAnon candidate). WaPo, Forbes, WSJ all wrote about it.
"I voted for Mayra Flores first time I ever voted Republican. Massive red wave in 2022," Musk tweeted.

They are the worst people to deal with regarding energy change.
OneGrassRoot
(22,920 posts)I think you give him too much credit as far as his personal ideals and worldview. He may not genuinely like Flores-type candidates but he has enough power to influence in ways that don't put the craziest of crazies in office. He does some good things (Ukraine) but I think he holds too many selfish libertarian views which are generally destructive. Nah, I think he's more on board with the Red Wave than you seem to. Difference of opinion.
