Its a Revolution
Thats hilarious, but seriously I heard snippets of a discussion which suggested that folks in the inner circle of the failed coup (1776 Revolution redux) borrowed their approach from the storming of the Winter Palace during the Russian Revolution.

So who were the real organizers - I think Flynn was in. Who else?
Slobby, Bannon, Stone, all who were texting 1776?
They were prepared to murder anyone in their way.
I find this very interesting. Truth will out. Justice is coming.

(22,920 posts)You and I know they love them some Putin, so the "storming of the Winter Palace" I'm sure came from them.
I wonder where Erik Prince was in all this? Oooooh, I just Googled and stumbled on Seth Abramson's piece from April specifically about this. Haven't read yet but thought I'd share. He's been pretty spot on with the 1/6 stuff.
ETA: Ooops, sorry, it's subscription only. Let me log in and find pertinent sections. Be right back...
ETA #2: Good grief, I like Seth's work but each essay is a friggin novella. He basically does a wikipedia entry-type background on every person he mentions...lol.
Okay, bottom line that I took away is that there were a ton of former Blackwater people involved in 1/6, and given Prince's involvement in Trump-related fuckery since 2016, it's hard to imagine he hasn't been coordinating and funding a lot of the activities leading up to 1/6, but without honest testimony from some of the former Blackwater people involved in 1/6 (like Charles Donohue), Prince may never be directly implicated.

(269,054 posts)I should have included the king of the mercenaries whether he can be implicated or not. Clearly these morons never read Machiavelli.
Betsys resignation is even more interesting now.
Not one of them can be trusted.
