They claim that democrats have voted not to certify in previous elections. It's the old "you made me do it" excuse.

But, they leave out one big fact. In previous protest votes the losing candidate in question had already conceded and nobody was ever expecting the losing candidate to remain in power because of the protest.

This time around the republicans were actually trying to change the outcome of the election.

Big difference.
