He who postpones doing the right thing, until there is no other choice but to do the right thing,

is not worthy of praise.

Pence is no hero.

Remember all of the times he stood behind tfg, with that stupid phony look on his face like he was madly in love with the guy?

Remember when he went to that football game, on the taxpayer's dime, and then left immediately because of players kneeling during the national anthem? Remember that dog and pony show?

Remember the circle jerk at the White House where each member of tfg's cabinet, one by one, sang their praises for tfg? Pence was in that group.

He HAD to certify the ballots. He had no choice. He wasn't about to open a gallon size can of worms by not certifying the ballots.

He had no choice. He waited until the very last minute to act like a leader. They should throw his sorry ass in prison too.

Sorry if this ruffles some feathers...just my opinion. He was complicit all of the way through, until the very end. I actually feel sorry for him, because he's weak. Having his life almost ended was the result of that weakness.

All of these GOpigs wanting credit for saying no to trump didn’t have the balls to tell Americans that trump was trying to steal the election in real time. Mother’s boy could have come out on the day he was asked to publicly state that the Vice President does not have the power to disregard the votes of Americans and pick who they want.

and to hear Rev Al praising this POS made me sick.
He KNEW a month before the insurrection, he knew then and did nothing, nothing!
He is a weak man, weak weak weak and no praise should be heaped on him. Had he said something back in December, most likely the riot would not have even happened. He could have stopped it back then and didn't.
Fuck him.

He was sure that he didn't want to help Chump with his coup because he KNEW it was illegal and unconstitutional. However just in case Chump was successful and the coup really happened, Pence didn't want to be the odd man out. He didn't want to be the whistleblower and become Chump's enemy. That explains why he disappeared so abruptly once the certification took place. He was hiding from Chump and the ChumpHumpers.

That's my guess, and his actions (or his failure to act) speak loudly.

if Pence was determined to do "right thing" from the onset, why did he seek outside advise (Cullen/Jacob/Qualyle...Luttig)?...if Dan Quayle had said "Fuck ya, do it!".. would Pence, Trump's supplicant bobblehead, have broken the law, thrown the country in a catastrophic constitutional crisis to please his master?..

Pence is being hailed as an eleventh hour hero...he is not..

Since he couldn't, he put out that written statement to cover his ass, IMO.
