Mike Pence owes it to the American people.

To come and testify about what he knows from January 6th. He was such a major player, sending out his former staff does not cut the mustard.

He has no special position. He holds no present position of authority in our government. He is a former Vice President, nothing more.

The Committee should request that he come and talk with them. If he refuses, they should subpoena him. If he still refuses, they should send a criminal referral to the DOJ. The Representatives of the People, the Congress, needs to demonstrate that they are an equal branch of government, especially when their lives have been threatened and there is an attempted over-throw of our government.

In this instance, Mike Pence deserves no special treatment.(As far as that goes, neither does Donald Trump) The Congress represents the people and they need to exercise their power.

Mike Pence needs to tell the American people what he knows. We should demand it.

Trump and the GQP is done with him. He’s got nothing to lose politically by telling what he knows, but has a lot to gain by doing right by the country. His reticence has always puzzled me.
