Mr. Navarro has a book thats coming out, and his latter part of the year, especially November and December, is going to be a time where hes going to be on the road a lot, trying to promote that book, which is important to him in terms of his income and whatnot its not a trivial matter.
The book comes out in September, the marketing starts in August, and then runs heavily all the way through Dec. 25, and even more so toward the latter part of the year, he added later.
Its also going to distract him, as a practical matter, from helping Mr. Rowley and I, Irving said.
For their part, federal prosecutors said they were prepared for the earliest possible date and said the government has serious concerns about delaying trial for a book tour.
It appears that Navarro's crazy lawsuit on the subpoena was rejected

(16,188 posts)my client has a large shipment of cocaine coming into the country sometime in August and since he personally arranged said importation and has a huge, I mean huge vested interest in this happening could you allow him enough time to complete said transaction?
WTF? all I did was change the word from "book" tour.

(25,485 posts)The intent would be much clearer with a little punctuation and an added word.
To wit:
"They put him in hand cuffs, they put him in leg irons. I can tell you ladies and gentlemen -- that does not (even) typically happen to career criminals"
What he meant was that it's not even done to career criminals, so it shouldn't be done to those who aren't, like his client. It's unwieldy, but a little deductive reasoning and reading for context can determine the intent.
