(102,286 posts)He was not a popular governor and was headed to defeat. Now that Trump's fundy loonies think HE is the "Messiah," Trump's need for Pence is/was long over as is any current support from his supporters for Pence.
The few still-Republican "never-Trumpers" might still have use for Pence, but that isn't even enough to fund one campaign office, I'd guess.

(2,256 posts)..the party nomination, certainly not if Trump runs, likely not if a DeSantas type runs. I can't think of a single thing he did as VP that could be considered impressive or Presidential and make him a viable candidate. But if by some miraculous sequence of events he is the nominee, the republicans and maybe some independents, will vote for him, needless to say.
