Juneteenth Being Commercialized

There seems to be shock that Juneteenth is being commercialized.

To paraphrase the line in Casablanca "I'm shocked, shocked to find that commercialization is going on in here!"

Are they kidding? There isn't a single national holiday holiday that hasn't been commercialized. From schlock products to sales on everything and anything. Even non national holidays like Easter, Mothers or Fathers Days, and every other day of recognition (National Ice Cream Day" e.g) is just commercialized. So why the surprise? In a country where, sadly enough, we turn days to honor people and events into an opportunity to sell something, why do we find it terrible that it happens with yet another day that was meant to be a Day of Remembrance?

At least it's not an attempt to sell cars, linens, or barbecue grills. On the other hand, it might be a good day to sell "White Right Wing Nuts"!
