The latest Reuters/Ipsos poll finds 71% of respondents, including 60% of Republicans, said they believed the decision to terminate a pregnancy should be left to a woman and her doctor, with just 15% saying it should be regulated by the government.

Also potentially relevant: 61% of respondents, including 38% of Republicans and 39% of independents, said they were less likely to vote for a candidate who supports laws that ban or severely restrict abortion.

3. It's easy to say you're for something, especially if you don't expect to need that right.

But too many people vote with their feelings instead of their convictions, so a right for half the families in the country who might need or choose a medical procedure isn't really that important to them as individuals.
They may pay attention when Griswold is overturned if their state is Red, but I doubt most states will ban contraceptions in general.

Too many sat on their asses and didn't vote.
Same thing happened to much of the progress my generation made during the sixties and seventies. People got complacent, didn't vote, and we ended up with presidents Reagan, Bush, and Trump.
