even here, dont worry Roe is settled law. Republicans really dont want it gone they just want the issue to motivate their voters.
Welp, my fears, thoughts, and warnings all came to fruition.
A man who promised to only nominate anti choice judges for SCOTUS has fucked us all again.
I feel the same as I did in 2016 when we all had to accept that the fascist POS was going to President of the United States
I have a fear and loathing for what is to come next for this country.
But we gotta keep fighting.
Lawd, this country is really effed up right now.

(24,149 posts)We've heard many times that the two parties are just alike in all the ways that matter, going back to Lyndon LaRouche and Ralph Nader, even while the Bush league stacked the courts, Mitch McConnell was laser-focused on it, and TFG was on the precipice of becoming president.
When all the ways the parties are NOT alike - verbatim from their platforms and the candidates themselves - nope, not good enough. Just as you said, the USSC was dismissed as a non-issue. Overturning Roe? Never happen.
And here we are. The Supreme Court, the last backstop for democracy, has vaporized. Minority rule controls the voting processes, the Senate representation, the Senate's rules for its own vote counting, the Electoral College for choosing the president...
It was always a lie that the two parties were alike. It was always easy to rattle the windows from the outside and holler that the Democrats aren't sufficiently liberal, effectively helping to defeat them, time after time after time.
Sorry for the rant. I agree, we've gotta keep fighting, and we've got to unify.
