Years ago I read "The Brethren" about the inner workings of the Court.

Their Clerks call the shots, write the opinions, in many cases.

They've clearly gone rogue. He probably just rubber stamps it.

2. Why else would Thomas bring up subjects like gay marriage, LGBTQ rights, birth control

in his written concurrence?

This decision is (yet another) that claims to be limited in scope, so why bring up other protected rights?

He is setting an agenda and presenting it to activists.

I was struck yesterday how many politicians expressed their approval in religious terms. "Glorious Day!" "Praise to God!" These are fanatical camels pushing their noses under the tent.
