Went for my daily walk, stopped and talked to some women about yesterdays decision.

Have you ever accidentally disturbed a bees nest. That is pretty much how they responded. They are pissed off. Also talked to a Trump voter I know and he thinks it was dumb decision.

A large majority of Americans, including Republicans did not want Roe over turned. People also know the Republicans on the Supreme Court Lied under oath when it comes to Roe. This is going to hurt the Republicans in the midterms and beyond.

nor is it the impression I bring to this situation.

My guess is a lot of guys across the country are newly wondering how old their condoms are. These days all trying to deny paternity is liable to get a father is bigger legal bills on top of decades of court-ordered child support.

Gives whole new meaning to

I got Nowhere to run to baby, Nowhere to hide
It's not love I'm runnin' from,
Just the heartbreak I know will come
Cause I know you're no good for me (You're no good)

If states begin to outlaw birth control, companies will have to relocate. They won't be able to hire enough qualified employees who want to live there.

Texas and Florida can give all the tax incentives they want. Companies will find it harder and harder to recruit young women, or even their male partners, if birth control is banned.

Obviously, they'll be able to hire minimum-wage workers who can't afford to move to another state. But women with high-demand technical or administrative skills? Women with advanced degrees? Men with these attributes who care about their partners or daughters? Why live in a state trying to replicate 17th century Plymouth Colony when you can live in 21st century Massachusetts, which has long since moved into the modern era?

about it hurting republicans, but I have my doubts.

As long as a state with 750,000 people living in it has as much power as a state with 30 million people living in it....well, things are going to remain fucked up, or get worse.

We can only hope that killing children in their schools, forcing women to breed with whoever rapes or abuses them and seeing all the lies that led up to Jan 6 convinces even 20% of the undecided to leave the Reich Wing Party until it grows up and gets back to reality.

If they NEVER go back, oh well.

BUT WE NEED SUCH DEMOCRATIC LANDSLIDES IN EVERY ELECTION FOR THE NEXT TWO DECADES so NO AMOUNT of gerrymandering or election fraud accusations will have a SNOWBALL'S chance in HELL of being believed or upheld.

WE NEED EVERYONE TO VOTE. EVERYONE.

YOU GET YOUR DRIVER'S LICENSE, congratulations you are registered to vote.

No, this is not a joke, they do exist. It's actually named 'The Right Wing Sports Bar.' Specializes in wings, I actually think it's a rather clever name. But you get what you expect when you walk in.

People there were talking. About Obama's healthcare. About Hillary. About anything else other than the consequences of the supreme court decision.

I was working so I didn't engage.

I'm actually scared. The repercussions of this will have long and far reaching effects, and as insulated as we get to feel here we are not immune.

I try to stay hopeful. What brings me hope at the moment is your righteous anger. This is needed right now.

created this intentionally by building and paying for the Senate which delivered these judges to the SCOTUS. They need to be held to account just as much as anyone in Congress. They got Roberts onto the bench and he delivered an unfettered political playing field for those with the money to speak loudest.

They are the ones who've supported corrupt practices by Mitch and others. They gleefully celebrated when both Bush residents put theocratically approved candidates vetted and groomed by the Federalist Society on the Court. They paid to elect TFG and the Congress he used to finish the job.

My anger made me want to watch. (Recalling now Anger is one of the seven deadly sins).

He said the Dems have lost a substantial amount of Hispanic and Asian community voters. Don't recall the exact percentage.

He said Asians were being treated unfairly by eliminating some of their academic achievement benefits. I'm going to assume Hispanics because of gas prices/inflation mainly.

Then he proceeded to say Kamala would lose in a landslide. And I agree. So in the end he predicts a Desantis victory. And that also is a good bet.

Democrats tendency to vote for ideals - which forever change - are doomed if we don't fight the Repubs underhanded manipulation of our Capitalist system. In the end most of us are living hand to mouth. And the Christianists could care less. But they have studied us and manipulate us so that our cause is lost. It's diabolical.

I helped a friend to win a seat on our city council in 2018. They've accomplished only what dems care about because there is no bipartisanship in the Republican playbook. (Murphy/Cornyn being the exception proving the rule).

We need brilliant minds in a think tank coming up with a plan to foil their think tanks. And part of that entails connecting Roe being overturned by underhanded dealings by Mc Connell's well disciplined coup on Democracy.

That and Americans don't seem to know the difference between conspiracy theory and reality.

P.s. I finished the evening watching Call the Midwife.

One with a side pocket. There I’ll stow voter registration applications, sticking up and visible so people wonder what they are and ask, and so they remind me to ask constantly about whether they are registered to vote.

I am a Volunteer Deputy Registrar in my Texas county. But even those not officially a registrar could get the white, mail-in voter registration applications. The voter would have to fill it out and deposit it in the mail themselves.

As of Texas’s March 1 primary, Texas has 4.3 million fewer registered voters than in 2020 according to my research, so we need to hustle to register voters in our state. Especially in blue and purple areas.

That changed few days ago. One of the ladies is gay and married and very worried they will be coming for her marriage next, then the others said they were all pissed and stressed about what is happening. Most have kids that are child bearing age and worried.
