"...he wanted to serve for 43 years to make liberals' lives 'miserable'"To rule by vindictiveness, what a piece of human garbage
He was ultimately confirmed in a 52-48 vote.
In a conversation with his law clerks two years following his confirmation, The New York Times reported Thomas expressed his desire to serve on the court until the year 2034.
"The liberals made my life miserable for 43 years," a former clerk remembered Thomas who was 43 years old when confirmed saying, according to The New York Times. "And I'm going to make their lives miserable for 43 years."

Of course, Thomas considers his affirmative action life as "hell" because of liberals... who created affirmative action. Gah! just trying to imagine what fucking insanity runs through their heads makes my head hurt!

He wanted to make the lives of fellow Americans miserable. Okay, so be it. It's your turn to be miserable.
Personally, since you all overturned NY's gun laws, and worship the gun amendment so much, that the rest of us Americans have to live with on a daily basis, you should have no protection at all, and live the way we all do, for the most part, w/ no protection from gun crime, etc. I'm referring to the recent efforts to pass some sort of law to enhance the protections of these Justices.
Why should they receive any additional protections that by the grace of God, we may walk out our front door and get shot by a random gun going off? They should live in our same exact environment as we do, and see how we live, after all, the decisions the Justices are making affect all of us. I know that this may be rough on them, but if they are going to rule on things that impact all of our lives, they should be living in it too. Come out of your golden palaces and get down to Earth.
