Sexual sadism, deep insecurity, anger, rage, etc.

They have to target women and children, makes them feel powerful and in control.
Or they have to buy sex because they cannot tolerate emotional closeness.
Sex is just a business transaction they can walk away from.
They cannot have healthy adult relationships.

May be not about sex but a way to hurt and abuse others.
Causing pain is arousing for them.

I could go on and on but you get the drift.

The Republican National Convention sends prostitution off the chart in whatever city has the misfortune of hosting it. Really kinky stuff too supposedly. Dems have the reputation of being far more laid back and far less bizarre.

Every little bit is encouraging. By the way, Andy can tell you it's hell's furnace here in North Texas. These marchers are pretty damned determined and mad, and rightly so!

i'm still scrolling, but just wanted to tell you that the picture of the organizers of this event made me cry. Here's a picture from the protest in Raleigh NC yesterday.

I'm 66 years old and the engagement of young people is what gives me hope.

They made my evening. It shows this 73-year old woman that the young women will carry on when needed. My generation fought so long and so hard for every right we deserved and at this age we've got nothing but time on our hands, so even though we no longer have to worry about this issue, we will stand with you and continue the fight for the next generation.

over the last few years working together. Your 73 years won't go back and the college freshmen who are just beginning share two things; a feeling of despair for the present and a fierce defiant anger to carry into the future.

Somewhere in the archives I have a picture of a woman (of a certain age) with a sign, "I've been carrying this sign for 40 years and I'm not tired".

This ain't over.
