1. Wrong. It's all too believable.

The only thing that's unbelievable is that we had to have these hearings in the first place. I have heard justice moves slowly but there's also justice deferred is justice denied.

Now I feel a great sense of relief. Thank you Cassidy!!! There will be many big names agreeing to testify I suspect, that wouldn't have had she not testified today.

They had more than 20 hours of testimony from Cassie, but were not going to show their hand. This was the mother load. I have no doubt she has had Federal protection for some time.

Whether he tried to grab the wheel of the Beast can be settled later.

"You did not pay attention to the base you built."

Fergawdssakes, Reed, your dad used to work for Newt Gingrich. Your party has been moving this way for decades, but the tag-team of him and Rush put it on this precise trajectory. It's only been happening for your entire life.

Newt wrote the playbook: Piss on "norms," bowl things over, brazen out the squawking that follows, and settle in with your position as the new "normal" -- that is, until your next big push.

What part of "they want to grab all the marbles" did you not understand?

It's entirely believable.

10. Reed wes not talking about the base,

he was talking about a President who was toying with the idea of giving a speech on the floor of the House after leading his mob into the Capitol. If that's not unbelievable, what is?

11. Not the base? Who made him president? Who savored every fleck of bile that he spit?

The base that conservatives have spent 40-50 years building. They cleared, leveled, and paved the road that Trump drag-raced on. And they were hard at work on that long before he ever put his wheels on it.

It has been the conservative modus operandi to take power to get what they want. If you think I'm wrong, then tell me who is the current leader of the "Rockefeller Republican" faction of that party. As far as I can tell, there ain't one, because they deliberately exterminated that part of the party. Then they moved on to various iterations of "grab with both hands when we can, buzz-saw whoever tries to push us back when we can't."

There is nothing about what transpired that is "unbelievable."

Maybe it's because I grew up in a conservative family. Sentiments like "I don't mind a banana republic, as long as I'm not the one picking bananas" are ones I've heard too many goddamn times to find this "unbelievable."
