Fugelsang right now saying today was a victory for the GOP

I’m not saying I agree with him but his theory is chillingly plausible. This is a GOP dream—45 is toast. He is an ex wannabe. He’s pinin’ for the smorgasbords. And now they can cut loose and run DeSantis. They got what they wanted from that horrid little puppet.

Thoughts? Because DeSantis is evil personified.

DeSatan will require that we respond with tremendous aggression. Our lives will be at stake.

but the fact is, something has to be done with Donald Fucking Trump, and we would have to deal with the fallout. Liz Cheney is still a fucking repuke who is not fighting for America, she is fighting for old school GOP (they also stunk it up)

but, it had to be done

That’s the funny thing about people like 45. They believe they’re somebody, when in reality they’re just Lonesome Rhodes.

by a violent insurrection

That Fugelsang summarizes this as some victory for republicans is really shallow and disappointing

It also ignores the involvement of members of Congress in the insurrection

The seriousness of this cannot be underestimated as simply “winning or losing”

Because it’s easier.

All of them Pootie, Moscow Mitch, the SCrOTUS, all of them are going ahead with what they were planning to do. It is like a Democratic majority never occurred in 2020.

The TX GrOPpers even said so out loud.

On the surface, De Santis won. But he also lost too, because he's at the head of the pack and Trump is a vengeful person. If they have shit on De Santis, they will try to use it to control him. They might come up to a truce, but not before Trump draws blood.

Well, corporations, the wealthy, power mongers, etc. but the whole idea that the common folk love them was put paid by the Tea Party and then the fleecing began. So yes, the fleeced might just help by insisting on remaining fleeced.

Unless he miraculously is charged and convicted or has some kind of significant health issue, Trump will run in and win the primary, and as the first two times will be at worst a coin flop to win the presidency.
