Video opinion piece at NY Times by a young woman in Texas.
A little under 8".

On edit: I should have provided a little more info, based on responses below.
This is a story about aborting using the pill. It tells about the time limitations. When you see this, you see how ridiculous the time constraints are. The graphics and author/producer do a good job of illustrating this.
The young woman comes out of it ok, however, as you watch it is hard not to empathize and think how outrageous and oppressive it is that this is all on her. We have support systems for those in her position, but they have been essentially destroyed by the RSC (Rogue Supreme Court) and governors like Abbott.

(10,833 posts)She was able to access a Planned Parenthood clinic in PA and took the first dose at the clinic, then followed up at home with additional meds that cause contractions to flush out the uterus.
Unpleasant but successful.
This was 10 days before the SCOTUS ruling on Roe when the country was anticipating the decision. Still, she had to go through the phalanx of protestors screeching she was a murderer, that she would be damned for all time. She'd already put up with her own ob/gyn who confirmed the pregnancy but gave her the stink eye after indicating she wanted an abortion. The doctor insisted she listen to the so-called 'heartbeat.'
She persevered and went ahead calling the nearest Planned Parenthood clinic after the doctor's appt.
She said the cramping and bleeding were significant but bearable. She was 7+ weeks pregnant at the time she took the meds. She discovered she was pregnant during prep work for a routine colonoscopy, couldn't believe it, had them run the test 3 times.
This woman was one of the lucky ones to have discovered the pregnancy early, quite by accident. She is 42 years old, a mother of three. It was an ordeal, physically and emotionally, but she had the full support of family.
One can only imagine how horrific this would be for a much younger woman without family and friends to rely on. Or a child terrified and alone.
Inhumane on so many levels. Women's bodies have now been declared a criminal site.
The fight for autonomy continues.

(1,200 posts)& harrowing. Already it required getting help from another state, getting a mailbox, first getting way-laid by a pro-life org posing as pro-choice & wasting her time.
What a quagmire.
Then the stress of just being home, in pain, but scared to tell anyone, or go anywhere.
This just makes me seething mad.
