Cassidy Hutchinson received at least one of the "witness tampering" messages revealed by the House Select Committee during a hearing on Tuesday.

--snip--

"What they said to me is as long as I continue to be a team player, they know that I'm on the team, I'm doing the right thing, I'm protecting who I need to protect, you know, I'll continue to stay in the good graces in Trump world," read one text message disclosed by Cheney. "And they have reminded me a couple of times that Trump does read transcripts and just keep that in mind as I proceed through my depositions and interviews with the committee."

The second warning came in a phone call, although it's not clear which one Hutchinson is said to have received.

"[A person] let me know you have your deposition tomorrow," the caller said, according to Cheney. "He wants me to let you know that he's thinking about you. He knows you're loyal, and you're going to do the right thing when you go in for your deposition."

I guess Hutchinson did not care to stay in the good graces of fascist fucks.

They sound like they came from someone who has watched too many mob movies.

They don't have to... People like Roger Stone and Charles Kushner have been convicted of it though they never explicitly told people to lie or explicitly threatened harm.

Local police almost always treat such threats with an eyeroll... The police suck. It is often different when it comes to a criminal trial or evidence for one is being gathered, the feds tend to use it.

Blatant witness tampering... Will anything be done?

We don't know a lot about these yet... We know one was a note and one was a call... We know one went to Hutchinson (but not which) but not who received the other. Did DOJ learn about this today like the rest of us or were they contacted earlier? Many things we do not know yet... The answers will determine what, if anything can be traced to a specific person. We all 'know' it came from tfg but... The evidence needs to be there.

Especially, when "the boss" has a long established system of issuing implied orders (sometimes standing orders) for dealing with "disloyal" members of his organization.

There's a SOP. So maybe what they can do is expose that SOP by accumulation of incidents. Time to break out the yarn and pin chart.
