JUST FUCKING STOP. The GOP is no longer a valid political party - they've morphed into a fascist anti-democratic cult.
• If the shoe was on the other foot, if Michael Flynn had answered "the Fifth" to the question "do you believe in the peaceful transition of power in the United States?" while the Republicans were in charge, supporting, say, Obama -- he would IMMEDIATELY be called up to active service so they could court-martial his seditious ass.
• If the shoe was on the other foot, if the wife of a SCOTUS justice had incited insurrection to, say, keep Obama in power while Republicans were in charge: (1) she would be IN PRISON for violating a subpoena which they would IMMEDIATELY issue, (2) the SCOTUS justice would be facing impeachment hearings for not recusing himself in related matters before the court.. not to mention lying.
• If the shoe was on the other foot, if, say, President Obama had incited violence in an attempt to overturn an election in which he lost while the Republicans were in control of the House and Senate, the DOJ would publicly announce his arrest, and upcoming trial.
• If the shoe was on the other foot, if, say, the SCOTUS was voting 6-3 for progressive policy while the GOP controlled the House, the Senate and the White House, they would be all over adding more justices to the bench.

Democrats MUST stop behaving as if their opponents are "normal". They're not. They don't play fair. They don't think any Democratic win is valid. The U.S. has one party that believes in democracy, and one "party" that wants a permanent minority oligarchy-controlled government. So, do something, Pelosi, Schumer, et. al, or get the hell out of the way and let the AOCs take over.

I won't vote for beasts like that. I remember how Ken Starr treated Susan McDougall, dragging her into the courtroom in chains just to humiliate her. They are sick sick sick. However, I agree on enforcing subpoenas. Lock them up until they testify. They can leave the chains to Starr and Torquemada.

7. In what way should we start behaving like them?

Should we also no longer be a valid political party? Should we also use fear to ignite our base? I mean its one thing for people to be scared because of what the repubs are doing, quite another for us to make up fears and use them like they do. I hear people say all the time that the repubs have better messaging and we need to do so also. But they either don't know or just discount the fact that their messaging is fear and it always works better than everything else. The only way this works for us is for them to be so bad that people wake up and do something about it and that seems to be slowly working. Most people are not like you and I and everyone on here. We follow politics and watch what they are doing, most don't. Its not that they don't have the time, they do, they just don't really care too much about other people and unless and until something starts to affect them they are not going to do much. Go stand on a street corner and ask 20 people what the SC just did to the EPA, if you get more than 3 people that know and understand what it really means I would be surprised. Our media, art, music and politics is all a reflection of our society. What people don't choose is just as important as what they do choose and in this case too many people for too long have not chose to care about politics until it scares them. That makes them easily controlled. What should we do? I don't have the answer to that. Just vote, be good, be an example to as many as you can and inform them but don't use fear. That makes things worse.
