A second visitor to Yellowstone National Park in three days has been gored by a bison, according to officials.
It was the third attack in less than a month.
A 71-year-old Pennsylvania woman was attacked Wednesday at Storm Lake in Yellowstone by a bison, said a park statement.
She sustained non life-threatening injuries, and was taken by ambulance to a hospital in Cody, Wyoming. Shes expected to make a full recovery.
She and her daughter inadvertently approached the animal as they were returning to their vehicle at a trailhead, which caused the bull to charge, according to the statement.

(86,775 posts)The park has been over run for years and they always pay the price for it. They don't forget shit, they remember people and they are smart.

(79,302 posts)and he took me to this old church that was on the top of a hill.
Right when we got to the top, in the middle of the road, was this big ass buffalo.
I started screaming at the top of my lungs.
I laugh every time I think about it
You know, sometimes it's not the story, but rather, the way the story is told.
This got a huge laugh out of me.

(33,198 posts)I was hiking in the mountains once and stopped to take a photo down slope. Then turned around into the side of a mule deer. Granted it was half the size of a Bison, but, it was a big critter.
It had this, "What'cha doin'?" look on it's face.
Yeah... Yeah... That's me, getting pushed around by docile forest creatures. Like I'm some kind of god damned Cinderella or something.

(16,184 posts)I was attacked by a rabbit. I think I was about 8 years old and stupid me and a few friends chased a cottontail rabbit around a hillside for about 15 minutes util it got sick of that and actually turned and jumped at me.
Ever heard a rabbit growl???
Trust me, you don't want to go down that rabbit hole....

(22,048 posts)They're beautiful and cute. I've seen them taking their daily walks down to the river and back. They're fantastic animals.
I wouldn't go within 100 yards of them, however. With one swipe of their paw they would rip me open. No thanks.
Anyone who goes near wildlife needs their heads examined.

(7,638 posts)In GunMurka eutopia shouldn't the tourist and the Bison be armed with their government issued weapons? BTW where the hell is my government issued Freedom-15? Now that it's a mandate to kill people and not fetuses I need my shootin iron.
Yes this is sarcasm.

(18,497 posts)The wild animals are trained to see this as human pathway.
Did he think there was a force field or something?
Like people thinking there should be hand rails on trails in national parks.
Someone once told me with a straight face that there should be a handicap accessable restroom at the summit of Mt Everest.
Wait wut?
