I know. I will disagree with him on most things but he is starting to remind me lately of a modern day Barry Goldwater. His attacks lately were against Brit Hume, Kristi Noem, Republican Congressional debate in Wyoming, among other things. He is well spoken. I hope either MSNBC or CNN signs him up next year.

(16,855 posts)Well, maybe not so guilty. He's conservative, but at least he doesn't want to give the country to fascists.

(2,475 posts)And I appreciate his work on the J6 committee, I believe his intentions are true.
But while we have that beer I have some questions for him...

(65,159 posts)In fact, we were both drinking Heineken Zero!
So, we even drink the same pretend beer, but i agreed with him on nearly nothing.
That said, he's not a nutjob & he is a pleasant sort.

(3,728 posts)that the bar has been lowered so much that we feel compelled to give a pat on the back to members of the other side of the aisle by virtue of that fact that they WON'T take part of a fascist scheme to overthrow democracy.
That's how far republicans have fallen.

(9,034 posts)...so even if the Dems hold the House, Kinzinger will be off the committee by January 2023. I hope the J6 Committee has completed its work by Election Day (Nov 8) so that does not become an issue, but if they have to go beyond Election Day into 2023, so be it. I wonder if Liz Cheney will be able to hold her seat? Have not seen any polls. Wyoming primary coming up Aug 16.
We may disagree with a lot politically, but I appreciate Kinzinger for his integrity.
