I was just saying to my parents yesterday that the Democrats need to OWN the word freedom. WE ARE the party of freedom and we need to use that word in our ads and our debates, just like Newsom does here!!!!!!

Potential candidates know this and are out campaigning in the early primary states. Newsom running ads in FL and Gov. JB Pritzker making speeches in New Hampshire are just a couple of examples. Others are making sure to get interviewed on national political shows.

Why not now? If you think he isn't running again, when exactly do you expect him to announce it? We're now less than a year away from the time period when the first Democratic debate took place for the 2020 nomination (June 26, 2019).

He has never flatly said he is running. Biden has not made a declaration with the FEC which is required for candidates. Your link says he "intends" "if" and "if".

As you may recall, Trump announcing that early in 2017 raised a lot of eyebrows as being inappropriate. Why would Biden copy Trump’s bad example?

And Trump has yet to announce for 2024. Since he's not in office, Trump can't bleed taxpayers for his fucking klan rallies, so there's no point in declaring early--except maybe to influence the DOJ prosecutors.

Biden's yes was an unqualified yes. In fact, he's the only person I'm aware of who has explicitly said he intends to run in 2024. Every yes by any candidate is going to assume "if" conditions that must be met, like health, fundraising, etc. And Biden is honest, so he acknowledges that. Biden is in excellent health and has done a great job as president. There's no reason why he wouldn't run. Sure, there is some rending of garments over his poll numbers. Maybe, if people like you would stop being so negative about him, he'd have better poll numbers.

Your assertion that it is "not likely that Biden will be on the ballot" isn't based on anything Biden or the White House said, and runs contrary to everything they have said on the subject.

messaging we need to take the offensive.

Every strong Democrat who is not on the ballot this year can step up and join this battle. Go on the stump for the ones who are on the ballot.

They must also stay united in their support of President Biden.

Talk of ‘someone else’ in 2024 only benefits Republicans.

One party (the only remaining party) stands for life, human rights, decency, safety, respect. They are the ones working to protect existing rights and codify new ones so that everyone can have fairness and democracy.

The other "party" (now Christofascist domestic terrorist organization) stands for tyranny, oppression, bigotry, hatred, stripping of human rights, and death.

So do you stand for democracy, human rights and life? Or do you stand for tyranny, bigotry and death?
