A question: if Trump is indicted and the trial drags on into the next president's term...

if the President is Republican could his AD interfere with the trial so that Trump never gets convicted?

On a side note: If Trump is convicted I’m sure an R president would pardon him as soon as he took office.

this supreme court? garland may be right to keep it secret so that self pardons don't have a precedent.
