office he tired to humor me with vague doublespeak emails. Eventually they went to form letters and now nothing at all. He’s such a waste of skin.

Welcome to Gilead. This is representative of what Ohio has become. It’s disgusting. We are gerrymandered up the wazoo. I hate this crappy state.

At 6 weeks, for instance, a “fetus” is technically an embryo and does not have a four-chambered heart. There is no heart to beat and what they call a heartbeat is an electrical impulse which could not even be detected with a stethoscope. Only a sophisticated sonogram can find the impulse. I sent this article from Live Science to a newspaper recently and asked them to please stop talking about a heartbeat in early pregnancy:

This guy would soon have a Teratoma tumor in his testicle that registers a heartbeat on an ultrasound.

Ignorance is what is now being taught in the good old USA. This is what happens when the progress that has been made - from the ratification of our Constitution in 1789 through the Civil Rights and Voting Acts of the 1960's has been systematically destroyed, deregulated, and defunded by the cheater power class that calls themselves the GOP. We wind up with a large number of ignorant (because the science is out there and they choose to ignore it), holier-than-thou (because they have been indoctrinated into one or another religion that - by someone's interpretation -excuses bad behavior), uneducated, religious zealots who are now being propelled to public office at local, state, and federal levels. They have infiltrated every aspect of our government. We have no laws that require even basic knowledge of anything, let alone government and politics, to be elected to public office or to be appointed to the Supreme Court. There are people who hold public office who literally know only what their social media or pundit of choice tell them. We, the lower classes, are required to attend school for 12 years, pass tests and oftentimes background checks in order to obtain a driver's license, sell alcohol, become a licensed building contractor, hold any job, rent anything, etc. Yet, in order to hold a position of real power and "represent" other citizens in matters of government, we are held to no meaningful standards

We have become a combination of 1984, Brave New World, and idiocracy.

Ultrasound started in the late '70's. I never had one because it was so new the doctors was not sure of it was safe so ultrasound was used sparingly. My sister in law had at least one when her mother died in 1980 and she was so upset her ER doctor had to prove her baby was alright.

In the early 80's is when the RW started objecting to abortions in the third trimester because we could still hear a heartbeat. So all third trimester abortions were criticized even if the mother's life failed first.

Now we can see the beginning of a heart's electrical pulse. But is there a vascular system to support? A brain to control the nervous system? They don't know and they don't care. They call it a heart beat and that is good enough for them.

They discount vaccines and other medical advances until there is a way to use a thin slice of it to their advantage.

This is just my opinion after putting the dots together after 40+ years of listening to their rants.

end of life advance directives for hospice care. Organs are donated by someone with a beating heart. The heart is kept beating until the organs are harvested.

Hospice includes the right to end all care, life support, until the person dies. We can lose this too.

I suspect IVF will be right behind birth control.
