They are more than welcome to see the light, in my book. They tend to be angry and scared in the modern age. That's a fairly common way to feel. It's useless, unpleasant, and unnecessary to feel that way, but it's a common emotional habit.

The "Trump voter" is a role that can turn on a dime. It's impulsive and crude. Moreover, it's largely emotionally founded as a response the false "woke lefty nut" caricature of the left. Drop the caricatures, isolate the effect of behavior outliers, focus on the majority of work-a-day people, cool the jets, and comic book arch villains like Trump can't get a foothold.
