Bezos slams Biden appeal for lower gasoline prices

Amazon founder Jeff Bezos has criticized President Joe Biden for calling on oil companies to lower sky-high gasoline prices, prompting the White House to come to the US leader's defense on Sunday.

"My message to the companies running gas stations and setting prices at the pump is simple: this is a time of war and global peril," Biden tweeted Saturday.



"Bring down the price you are charging at the pump to reflect the cost you're paying for the product. And do it now," Biden added.

Since Bezos is suddenly so concerned about the hardships of the average American, he can tap into one of his off shore accounts and donate a few of the billions he's never paid in taxes to help alleviate the suffering of the people he's pretending to care about.

7. Bezos's criticism is dumb, imo, but fine...Biden can take it

Lowering gas prices is a political move more than an economic move. It's not designed to curb inflation, just shift its burden a little while putting the oil companies (the corporations and countries that are basically just oil companies) on notice. It also speaks to the common sense, work-a-day folks and says, "Guess who cares? Not Republicans. Dems do."
