Just saw on ABC Turkey's inflation rate is 78.6%.

Wow! Ours seems bad at 10 or so.

our inflation rate is the highest since 1981. I think it should have said “since the Reagan administration”.

It raged out of control during the Carter years and made Carter a one-termer. The Federal Reserve under Reagan choose recession to get inflation down and that is what happened.
