Not everyone In Highland Park is anti-gun. A pediatrician...
...from there, who is the father of 5, sued the city over it's ban on military style weapons. It went all the way to the Supreme Court. The court declined to take the case.

The mayor of Highland Park ran in the June 28th Democratic primary, for IL Supreme Court. She had several high level endorsements, including Jill Wine-Banks and House representative Jan Schakowsky, but did not win the primary.
