Jimmy Carter was right

We live in a country of unlimited political bribery... that's created "a complete subversion of our political system as a payoff to major contributors." Gun lobbyists continue to subvert our democracy because they influence politicians to do their bidding and not the peoples.

But at least if we could cripple the gun lobbyists we might be able to pass some meaningful gun reform at the federal level.

3. For all the talk about bribery, the propaganda is the bigger problem.

The NRA is a shell of its former self and yet pro-gun violence politicians continue to thrive. Why? Not because they are paid off, but because of all the propaganda that their ignorant supporters are constantly subjected to. I have zero reason to believe that if you took money out of politics, these sorts of politicians wouldn't still exist, because the propaganda that catapults them into their positions will still be alive in well in the Fox """News""" and OANNs of the world.
